My journey in the kitchen kicked off as a kid, sparked by flipping through The Nancy Drew Cookbook, and took a vibrant turn after a life-changing trip to Italy in 2010. I’ve since honed my skills alongside chefs in France, Italy, Spain, and the US, blending those experiences into a Mediterranean-inspired approach. Friends and family kept nudging me to share my recipes and meal plans, and here we are—bringing those flavors from my kitchen to yours!

What really fueled my shift to an even healthier take on Mediterranean cuisine was a wake-up call with my husband, Mark. Last year, his annual check-up threw some alarming lab results our way, and our doctor was quick to suggest statins. Being drug-averse—he barely takes a pain reliever—my husband opted for lifestyle changes instead. With our doctor’s cautious okay (and a follow-up coronary calcium scan), we dove into rethinking our diet. Turns out, cutting back on fats wasn’t the answer; it was all about ditching refined sugars, grains, and seed oils while boosting fiber, probiotics, omega-3s, and colorful plant foods. Aiming for 30 grams of protein per meal worked wonders—his labs improved dramatically in six months, and a year later, he’s in the clear with zero plaque!
